Have you been interested in the mysteries of the Universe: is it possible to prevent an earthquake? How do liquids and gases move in rocks? How to perfect the extraction of oil and solid minerals? How to reduce the damage from natural and manufactured disasters? How to minimize the consequences for the environment when performing large engineering projects? Is it possible to prevent an asteroid from colliding with Earth? Why did the dinosaurs become extinct? What is “space weather”? What happens to satellite navigation systems during solar flares and magnetic storms? These and other issues will have to be solved by students specializing in the field of Earth Sciences.
The graduates will be able to build careers in research and industrial organizations related to the Earth sciences, energy and resource exploitations, natural and manufactured hazards, disaster preventions, climate change: research institutes, universities, oil production, mining, service companies and so on.
You will be prepared and skilled to deal with the issues of climate change, environmental problems, oil and mineral resource exploration and development, green energy, natural and manufactured hazards, processes in ocean and atmosphere, Earth magnetic field, ionosphere and radio connections.
