Our group have intense working relationships with leading research groups in the field (Finland, Germany, Norway).

Students are rapidly involved into active research and international scientific cooperation, present their work at various international conferences.

Possible topics of research

• Josephson junctions based on 2D (anti)ferromagnets. In particular, the motivation is that 2D magnets possess strong spin-orbit coupling. Therefore, we can expect strong magnetoelectric effects in these materials. The magnetoelectric behavior in Josephson junctions leads to the formation of the anomalous phase junctions. The anomalous phase junctions via magnets and, in particular, via 2D magnets, are of great interest. The magnetoelectric coupling between the magnetization and the condensate phase allows for the electric manipulation by the magnetization or the electrical detection of the magnetization. Of special interest is the possibility to establish a long-range magnetic interaction between magnetic moments in a system of coupled Josephson junctions.
• Bilayer systems composed of superconducting and (anti)ferromagnetic materials. Study of unconventional superconductivity in the bilayer systems. It is well-known that unconventional superconductivity in S/F or S/AF hybrids  is realized in vicinity of the interface. The most interesting and perspective examples are spinful triplet superconductivity, helical superconducting state, Neel triplet superconductivity. In 2D bilayers the entire superconductor is the interface region. It allows for the most efficient usage of the exotic interface superconducting states. Study of the back action of the superconductor (or probably a normal metal layer) in the bilayer structure on the magnon spectra in the (anti)ferromagnet. For 3D thin-film bilayer systems the renormalization has been predicted to be strong. For 2D bilayer structures the renormalization can be even more nontrivial including chiral effects due to the spin-orbit coupling. Therefore, the bilayer systems composed of superconducting and (anti)ferromagnetic materials are of interest as promising units for the creation of new functional quantum materials.
• Magnon-induced and electric current-induced magnetization dynamics in 2D magnets. The intrinsic or substrate-induced spin-orbit coupling can result in very efficient spin-orbit torques
