How to Apply for Graduate Programs

Step 01

Check your favorite MIPT program for the successful future.

Please note! MIPT Phystech provides Russian taught and English taught programs.

Step 02

For the initial assessment of your documents and your eligibility for the program by the program supervisor, you can submit the documents without translation. Please, note, that in case, if the program supervisor preliminarily approves your application, you will have to submit all translations for further application.

Russian-taught

To be enrolled to a Russian-taught program please make sure you have a sufficient level of Russian language or you are more than welcome to the MIPT Pre-university courses

  • Passport legalization and notarized translation into Russian
  • A sufficient level of Russian language to pass an exam or certificate of completion of the MIPT Pre-university courses
  • Bachelor's Degree diploma (with transcripts) + legalization and notarized translation into Russian. *If the previous credentials were obtained in Russia, the candidate should submit one of the following documents: Bachelor's Degree diploma (with supplement) or Specialist's diploma (with supplement)
  • CV (including educational awards, results of academic competitions, and scientific publications)

English-taught

  • Passpor legalization and notarized translation into Russian
  • Proof of English proficiency (B2 or equivalent)(optional)
  • CV (including educational awards, results of academic competitions, and scientific publications)
  • Cover letter
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Bachelor's Degree diploma (with transcripts) + legalization and notarized translation into Russian. *If the previous credentials were obtained in Russia, the candidate should submit one of the following documents: Bachelor's Degree diploma (with supplement) or Specialist's diploma (with supplement)

Notice about interview

Notice, it is necessary to pass the interview to be enrolled on some programs.

Step 03

Visa information & medical insurance requiments

  • To enter Russian Federation most foreign nationals or stateless persons need a Russian visa and an official invitation for a visa application
  • Passport valid for at least 18 months before expiry date with at least 1 clear blank visa page available for the visa stamp
