How to Apply for Undergraduate Programs

Step 01

Check your favorite MIPT program for the successful future.

Please note! MIPT Phystech provides Russian taught and English taught programs.

Step 02

For the initial assessment of your documents and your eligibility for the program by the program supervisor, you can submit the documents without translation. Please, note, that in case, if the program supervisor preliminarily approves your application, you will have to submit all translations for further application.

Russian-taught

To be enrolled to a Russian-taught program please make sure you have a sufficient level of Russian language or you are more than welcome to the MIPT Pre-university courses

  • Passport legalization and notarized translation into Russian
  • A sufficient level of Russian language to pass an exam or certificate of completion of the MIPT Pre-university courses
  • High school certificate or diploma (with examination results or transcript) or Secondary professional (or vocational) education diploma (with transcripts) + legalization and notarized translation into Russian. *If the previous credentials were obtained in Russia, the candidate should submit one of the following documents: Certificate of secondary (complete) general education (with final grade list and examination results) or Secondary professional education diploma (with supplement)

English-taught

  • Filled-in application form
  • Passport legalization and notarized translation into Russian
  • Proof of English proficiency (B2 or equivalent)(optional)
  • Educational awards and results of academic or scientific competitions (if you have)
  • High school certificate or diploma (with examination results or transcript) or Secondary professional (or vocational) education diploma (with transcripts) + legalization and notarized translation into Russian. *If the previous credentials were obtained in Russia, the candidate should submit one of the following documents: Certificate of secondary (complete) general education (with final grade list and examination results) or Secondary professional education diploma (with supplement)

Step 03

Visa information & medical insurance requiments

  • To enter Russian Federation most foreign nationals or stateless persons need a Russian visa and an official invitation for a visa application
  • Passport valid for at least 18 months before expiry date with at least 1 clear blank visa page available for the visa stamp

Step 04

Mind the deadlines

Arrival & Accommodation

no later than August, 26th for Russian-taught programs
no later than September, 20th for English-taught programs
